As a result, people and animals lose their homes, and the earth warms up even faster because of it. This explanation film about one of the world’s biggest organized crimes was made a decade ago and is still ongoing in 2022. According to the World Bank, illegal logging accounts for up to 90% of all logging in some countries and generates $10–15 billion in criminal proceeds annually. "Every two seconds, an area of forest the size of a football field is clear-cut by illegal loggers around the globe." -World Bank. But what precisely is illegal logging? And how much of an impact could this have on us? This issue will be explained in less than 5 minutes by the European Forest Institute.
